Franklin, Tennessee – February 26, 2025 – In-N-Out Burger, the popular West Coast fast-food chain celebrated for its fresh ingredients and devoted fan base, has revealed plans to establish a major operational hub in Franklin, Tennessee. The company recently announced it will construct an eastern territory office in the city as part of a broader strategy to extend its reach into new markets.

The move involves phasing out its Irvine, California office by 2029 and consolidating West Coast operations in Baldwin Park, California, where In-N-Out opened its first location in 1948. The new Franklin office, currently under construction near Interstate 65 and the Berry Farms area, is expected to be operational by late 2026. This development signals the chain’s intent to bring its beloved menu items to regions far beyond its traditional Western stronghold.

In-N-Out’s investment in Franklin totals approximately $125 million and is projected to generate around 275 corporate jobs in the area. The company has also outlined plans to introduce roughly 35 restaurants throughout Tennessee in the coming years, with initial sites targeted for Franklin, Lebanon, and other Middle Tennessee communities. This expansion marks In-N-Out’s most significant push eastward to date, building on its existing network of 385 locations across California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Colorado.

The decision aligns with Tennessee’s growing reputation as a business-friendly state. Williamson County previously extended incentives to attract In-N-Out, reflecting optimism about the economic benefits the company’s presence will bring. Construction on the 100,000-square-foot Franklin facility began in September 2024, and local residents are already looking forward to both employment opportunities and the chain’s arrival in their neighborhoods.

Operationally, In-N-Out plans to divide its corporate workforce between Baldwin Park and Franklin, offering Irvine employees the option to relocate to either site. This approach aims to maintain the company’s cohesive culture while supporting its expansion goals.

The relocation highlights Tennessee’s appeal to businesses seeking strategic advantages and new customer bases. With its central location and favorable economic climate, the state continues to draw companies looking to grow, and In-N-Out’s investment reinforces that trend.

As the Franklin office takes shape over the next two years, excitement is mounting across the region. For In-N-Out enthusiasts, the company’s eastward journey promises not only jobs but also the chance to enjoy its iconic offerings closer to home.
